Promote School Improvement
NCLB mandates that schools designated in need of improvement must improve and must be able to document their success. Both tasks require extensive planning and resources.
Articulation of a school’s goals is necessary in order to develop a viable plan to reach them. Some of the needs identified may include alignment of curriculum to standards, greater student access to instructional technology, or the need for a personalized learning plan tailored to each student’s needs. Professional development is necessary to support staff members as they put standards and technology to work for students.
Partnering with an organization that has proven success in school improvement makes these goals easier to achieve. PLATO Learning provides alignment and correlation services to validate curriculum against standards. School progress and assessment data is also available to demonstrate areas of improvement as well as those needing additional attention. All of these solutions are supported by a comprehensive professional services division.
